Sue's particular emphasis is on subdivision and development, property, industrial projects, and natural resource development. Her practice also involves advising clients on all aspects of local government and public law issues. Sue is also on the Auckland Executive Committee of the New Zealand Property Council.
Sue’s main areas of expertise are:
- Advising and acting for resource users, developers and submitters on matters ranging from consent applications and judicial review proceedings to prosecutions under the Act
- Acting for private individuals and corporations in relation to District Plan reviews
- Acting for a range of clients, appearing on their behalf before councils and the Environment and High Courts and in representing clients in mediation and alternative dispute resolution
- Advising on all areas of the Local Government Act, Public Works Act, Building Act, Property Law Act, Unit Titles Act, Transit New Zealand Act and all specialist legislation relating to local government administration.
